Sindh Cabinet Approves Budget For The Next Financial Year 2018-19

Sindh Cabinet has approved 1.14 trillion budget for the next financial year 2018-19. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presented provincial budget for Q1FY1028-19 on Wednesday with a total outlay of Rs1.14 trillion in Sindh Assembly. According to the details, the members of provincial cabinet appreciated the balanced budget suggestions. 349 billion were allocated for the development expenditure in the new budget.

The amount for the district development program was more than Rs: 30 billion. Rs: 100 billion has been allocated for Law and Order in the budget and Rs: 2.5 Billion has been proposed to buy modern equipment for Police. Further, Rs: 24 billion and 39 Million have been allocated for education.

The budget of Education Department has been decided to increase ten billion rupees by thirteen billion rupees, while the budget of the health department has increased from thirteen billion rupees to fifteen billion rupees, budget of Interior Ministry also increased from one million to two billion rupees and budget for Irrigation Department has been proposed to increase the amount of twelve billion to fourteen billion rupees. While the special package of ten billion rupees for Karachi was also included in the budget.
