ISLAMABAD: PTI Government facing very hard financial crisis from the start, in these crucial circumstances it is very difficult to present friendly budget. But the Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf government’s Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh will present its first Fiscal Year Budget 2019-20 in National Assembly in Islamabad today with an estimated outlay of around Rs6 trillion. The President has summoned the 11th session of the National Assembly to meet in the Parliament House, Islamabad today at 4:00 PM.
FIRST FISCAL YEAR BUDGET 2019-20
The budget 2019-20 predicts fiscal management, revenue mobilization, measures for economic stabilization and growth, reduction in non-development expenditures; boosting exports besides providing relief to the masses, promoting investment for job creation and people friendly policies for the socioeconomic prosperity of the country.
The budget 2019-20 main focus in the budget would be on fiscal consolidation, revenue mobilization while the government is likely to enhance allocations for social safety net for providing maximum relief to vulnerable segment of the society. The government is expected to set the revenue collection target at Rs5.55 trillion for the fiscal year 2019-20.
Since provision of relief to common masses is one of the priorities, therefore it was being prepared after widespread consultations with investors including the business community, traders and chambers of commerce and industries, that all have provided valuable and constructive suggestions.
