New Zealand Beat Pakistan By 4 Runs In First Test Match

Abu Dhabi: New Zealand beat Pakistan by 4 runs after a thrilling competition in first test match. Match played in Sheikh Zaid Stadium; New Zealand had targeted 176 runs to win Pakistan. Unfortunately, Pakistani team failed to complete target. On the start of the day, Pakistan scored 37 runs without its unbeaten innings, then after the total of 40 runs, Opener Imam-ul-Haq was trapped leg-before to a full length ball by left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel in the fifth over of the day.

After the loss of the first wicket, Mohammad Hafeez made 10 runs after 44 runs and Haris Sohail scored 48 runs and went to pavilion. Text cricket expert Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq took the team and set up 82-run partnership while taking the team out of trouble, on the way to victory.

Captain Sarfraz Ahmed 3, after Bilal Asif, Yasir Shah and Hassan Ali were out on zero, all the hopes were taken from Azhar Ali. Pakistan’s last man standing, Azhar Ali, failed to take the team to the other side and fell lbw. Due to the unbeaten batting of the batsmen in the first innings, Pakistan dismissed a huge opportunity for the first Test against New Zealand.

In the first innings, due to the outstanding bowling of Pakistani bowlers, New Zealand was out after 153 runs. All Pakistani team players Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Mohammad Hafeez, Imamul Haq, Azhar Ali, Haris Sohail, Asad Shafiq, Babar Azam, Yasir Shah, Bilal Asif, Mohammad Abbas and Hassan Ali failed to complete target.
