LONDON: According to the formal statement released from England Police, Founder of Mutahida Qoumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain arrested in London by The Scotland Yard in money laundering case. In a statement published on the metropolitan police official web site, the Scotland Yard has arrested Altaf Hussain in London and an individual associated with the MQM has been arrested in an investigation into a number of speeches.

The official statement adds that the man who is in his 60s was arrested from a North West London address. “He was arrested on suspicion of intentionally encouraging or assisting offenses contrary to Section 44 of the Serious Crimes Act 2007.
The investigation, which is being headed by Met officers, is in connection with a speech broadcast in 2016. The statement adds that officers have been liaising with authorities in Pakistan during the investigation. Meanwhile, authorities have confirmed that Altaf Hussain has arrested in London on complaints registered by Pakistan.
Early on Tuesday morning, a 15 police official’s team of the Scotland Yard raided Altaf Hussain’s house in North London and arrested the Founder of MQM Altaf Hussain. Later Hussain was taken to a local police station in South London. According to unconfirmed reports, Hussain was arrested for his hate speech which he delivered in Pakistan via telephone in 2016.
