Experienced all-rounder of Pakistani cricket team Mohammad Hafeez has announced retirement from test cricket due to poor performance in test cricket. Due to illegal bowling action and poor performance, Mohammad Hafeez’s career was facing lots of problems in Test cricket and in recent times he continued to drop from team. In a press conference Mohammad Hafeez said I am failed to perform in test cricket. He also said,
“I feel time is up,” “I am announcing my retirement and feel happy that I worked hard in my career.”
Mohammad Hafeez’s bowling action was banned three times in the past but he was successful in clarifying his action every time, but in his batting, but Hafeez’s non-serious attitude in batting getting down his position in team and selection committee already worried about Hafeez. Mohammad Hafeez also faced criticism from team management and players.
Earlier, Mohammad Hafeez was dropped from the Test side after faring poorly in the first three matches of Pakistan’s series in England two years ago, before being recalled for series against Australia in October. He celebrated his recall with a century in the first Test against Australia in October and later revealed that his wife had persuaded him not to quit the sport.
Hafeez has just announced retirement from the Test cricket and he will continue to represent the national team in One Day and Test cricket.
