The Alibaba DAMO Academy has found the solution in the form of an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Application. The DAMO Academy has developed a fake news detecting App that uses an AI algorithm and trains itself with time. Alibaba is the world’s largest retailer and e-commerce Company, one of the largest Internet and AI companies, one of the biggest venture capital firms, and one of the biggest investment corporations in the world.
Alibaba DAMO Academy has named the application ‘Rumor Shredder’ and it boasts 81% correctness at the moment. The deep learning curve of this application allows it to train itself and increase the accuracy rate over time, so it will only get better and better.
The AI called ‘Rumor Shredder’ traces the original post or the source of the information and then verifies the authenticity of the original publisher. It also compares the previous news and articles published by the same author or publisher and also takes into account the said person’s profession and past standing to authenticate a piece of news or information.
Moreover, the Artificial Intelligence algorithm can identify key arguments and information from the news article and compare and contrast it with established and already present knowledge bases. The academy also plans to add on a feature of sending real-time messages to the users.
